FAQ

The questions we hear most — answered the way we write everything: plainly.

Is ConsumerRise really free?

Yes. The weekly newsletter, the Ingredient Index, and the label scanner (3 scans a day) are all free, forever. We make money one way: the optional Pro membership at $12 a month. No ads, no sponsors, no food-industry money.

How often will you email me?

Once a week — every Tuesday at 7am, one investigation. That's it. We don't do daily deals, flash sales, or "just checking in" emails. If we ever send something extra, it will be rare and worth opening.

Can I share this with my family?

Please do. Forward the newsletter, send the Ingredient Index link to your group chat, print the checklists when they're ready. The whole point is that this information spreads.

What if I find an error in your research?

Tell us — seriously. Email hello@consumerrising.com with the mistake and your source. If you're right, we correct the piece publicly and note the correction. We'd rather be corrected than wrong.

Do you sell supplements or products?

No. Never. Selling "clean" products while reporting on dirty ones would be a conflict of interest, and our whole model depends on not having one. We don't sell anything except the Pro membership.

Why focus on American food?

Because American shoppers get the shortest end of the stick. Ingredients that carry warning labels or outright bans in Europe sit on US shelves with no warning at all. Somebody should close that information gap. That's us.

Is this anti-science?

The opposite. Every investigation links its sources — regulator filings, peer-reviewed studies, public records. And when the science is uncertain or experts disagree, we say so instead of pretending. That's what honest science communication looks like.

How do I unsubscribe?

Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom — one click, no guilt trip, no "are you sure" maze. You can also email hello@consumerrising.com and we'll remove you by hand.
