Terms of service
Plain-word rules for using this site. If a lawyer needs the long version, we'll write one — this is the one humans read.
What this site is
ConsumerRise publishes independent investigations and general information about food ingredients. Everything here is for education — it is not medical advice, not a diagnosis, and not a recommendation for your personal health. Talk to your doctor or a qualified professional about your own decisions.
Your license to use it
You may read, share, and link to our content freely — that's what it's for. You may not republish our investigations in full on another site or sell them without written permission. Short quotes with a link back are always fine.
Your content
If you send us tips, photos, or messages, you give us permission to use them in our reporting (we'll protect anonymous sources as promised). Don't send anything you don't have the right to share.
Accuracy
We work hard to get things right and we show our sources, but food science moves and we are human. If you spot an error, tell us at hello@consumerrising.com — we correct publicly. We can't promise the site is error-free or always available.
Pro membership
Pro is a paid monthly membership ($12/month) with a 7-day free trial. You can cancel anytime; you keep access until the end of the billing period. If billing disputes arise, contact us first — we'll make it right.
Limits
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for decisions you make based on general information here, or for interruptions to the site. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us (for free members: $0).
Links
We link to regulators, journals, and watchdogs for sourcing. We're not responsible for what those sites say or do.
Changes
We may update these terms as the site grows. Big changes get announced in the newsletter before they take effect. Continuing to use the site after changes means you accept them.
